Quick Pic from My Hike

Well I did my first hike of the year tonight. It was SO AWESOME...and the best part is, the snow has finally melted! Here is a quick post before I get some sleep for the night. I will be sure to post more tomorrow.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter with a beautiful Alaskan Sunset.

Eklutna Lake Easter Hike

So today I wanted to get away from the computer for a bit, especially since that is where I spent most of my time. I grabbed the camera bag and headed out the door. Down the highway I exited at Eklutna and drove about 10 miles back toward the lake. Before I arrived I was hoping that all the snow would have vanished by now sinces it's April, but I was wrong. Regardless I enjoyed my time hiking around the shore capturing some of the overlooked details of the lake. Hiking is a good place to gather your thoughts and escape the world for just a bit. Having said that, my hike was very refreshing for me.

Spring has arrived

Finally the time has come to pull out the 4-wheeler and get ready for summer riding. Although I wish the snow would disappear sometime before May.

Live Recording Shoot

On Saturday at Wasilla Assembly of God, I photographed the live recording of a new worship album that the band was putting together. It was perfect because I got to try out my new camera, oh yes the Canon 5D Mark II, the best camera out there right now. The colors that this camera captures is simply breath taking. The pictures are going to be used for the album art of the CD. I'm really excited to see what it turns out like. I will be sure to give you more information about the album when it's all put together.

Afternoon with Sis

On Sunday my sister, Sara and I drove into Anchorage to hangout for the day. We actually went to see the Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Movie. She was the one who actually wanted to see it, but knowing me, I'm up for anything that's about music or concerts. Let me tell you, the new digital 3d is amazing! I believe this is the future for cinema films. The coolest thing about it is, is that the glasses are no longer those ugly blue and red tinted eye things. When we saw the movie, the glasses had transparent lens. A lot better than any other 3d application previously. The 3d looked amazing and was so real.

After the movie we headed to TGIF's for lunch. I got the Jack Daniels Shrimp and Sara got the chicken fingers, which by the way is like a classic teenage meal choice. That was pretty much all we did...oh and I got some pretty neat driving shots. I love driving in Alaska.
